Step by step

How to use an offer

A concise sequence from choosing an offer to checking its conditions.

  1. 01

List the attractions you want to visit and confirm which ones are included in the selected pass type.

  2. 02

Mark attractions that require reservations, available dates and times, then build an achievable itinerary.

  3. 03

Compare normal admission prices for the planned visits with the pass price and its credit limit.

  4. 04

Choose the pass type, duration or attraction count, currency and traveller mix.

  5. 05

If an eligible promo code is available, enter it during purchase and confirm that the final amount decreases before payment.

  6. 06

After purchase, sync the pass to the Go City app using the order number and complete required reservations in advance.

  7. 07

Present the QR code at the first attraction to activate the pass; then monitor remaining validity, limits and current attraction instructions.

Before and after checkout

Delivery and fulfilment

The order number from the confirmation email syncs the pass to the Go City app and displays its QR code, but does not activate it. A day-based London Pass starts at the first scan and runs for consecutive calendar days ending at midnight rather than 24-hour periods. Explorer has a separate post-activation validity window.

Returns and cancellations

The official policy allows a refund for a non-activated pass within 90 days of direct purchase. The order number is required for the request. A pass is treated as used after its first scan, so decide on cancellation before activation and check the current policy for the order.

Important conditions

Before payment, check the website market and currency, eligible product, displayed reduction and final amount. A promo code may not combine with another price or may exclude certain products. Successful application is confirmed only by a lower basket total.

Customer support

For purchase and refund questions, keep the order number ready and use official Go City chat. If the issue concerns a reservation or entry at a particular attraction, first open its current page and reservation instructions because booking channels differ by partner.

When this page is useful

Build a realistic itinerary before buying: list paid attractions, their normal admission prices, required reservations and opening days. Compare the eligible pass price only with visits you can actually complete within its validity and credit limit.

Frequently asked questions

How should I choose between a day-based London Pass and Explorer?

The day-based option suits a dense itinerary over the selected consecutive days and operates within a credit limit. Explorer limits the number of visits and has a separate window after first use. Compare both against your actual attraction list, available time and total price.

When is The London Pass activated?

Syncing the pass to the app does not activate it. Activation occurs when its QR code is scanned at the first attraction. For a day-based pass, that day ends at midnight, so an early first visit generally makes better use of the day.

Do attractions need to be reserved in advance?

Some attractions require or recommend reservations. Look for the Reservations required label on the attraction page and follow that specific instruction. For example, a current Westminster Abbey visit with the pass is booked through the Go City app; the pass QR code alone does not guarantee entry.

Can an unused London Pass be refunded?

Yes. The official policy provides a refund for a non-activated pass within 90 days of direct purchase. Submit the request through the official support channel with the order number; this rule no longer applies after the first scan.
