Before and after checkout
Delivery and fulfilment
The voucher contains the meeting place, time and provider contacts. At pickup, present the required documents and record the body, glass, wheels, interior, fuel and mileage. At return, follow the agreed time, location and fuel policy and keep photos of the vehicle's condition.
Returns and cancellations
Cancellation rules are shown before payment and may be stricter for an individual car. A shield marks the special free-cancellation condition; otherwise the booking's own rules apply. Contact support to change an order, as some changes may require cancellation and a new booking.
Payment options
The amount shown during booking is paid online. The balance is normally paid to the rental provider at pickup using the method stated on the car page and voucher. A separate refundable security deposit may apply; confirm its currency, payment method and release process.
Important conditions
Terms belong to the individual car and rental provider. Before paying, check driver age and experience, accepted documents and cards, travel area, mileage limit, insurance and excess, security deposit, fuel policy, late pickup and paid extras. The booking advance and vehicle security deposit are different payments.
Customer support
Before the trip, give support the booking number and requested change. On pickup day, also contact the provider listed on the voucher about the meeting, delay or vehicle. For a dispute, keep the voucher, rental agreement, receipts, messages and original vehicle photos.

How is the Localrent booking advance different from the car deposit?
The advance confirms the booking and forms part of the rental price. The security deposit is a separate amount held by the rental provider during the rental. A no-deposit car may still require an advance, and a small advance does not imply a small deposit. Check both separately.
What if the Localrent provider cannot supply the booked car?
The published terms state that the provider should supply a car of the same or a higher class on the same terms and at the same price when the booked car is unavailable because of breakdown or force majeure. Compare the replacement with the voucher before signing.
How can I reduce the risk of a damage dispute on a Localrent booking?
Take continuous video and photos at pickup and return, covering the body, wheels, glass, interior, mileage and fuel. Put every existing mark on the inspection sheet before driving, keep the agreement and request a joint inspection and calculation for any new damage.
