Pond5 is an international marketplace for stock video, music, sound effects, photographs, illustrations and templates. An asset should be chosen on more than price: check its format, technical details, licence type and item-specific restrictions before purchase.
Offers are ranked by benefit: fixed-amount savings from highest to lowest, then percentage discounts, followed by deals without a numeric saving.

Step by step
A concise sequence from choosing an offer to checking its conditions.
Define the media type required for the project.
Find a suitable asset with the catalogue filters.
Check the item page for technical details, releases and usage restrictions.
Choose a licence tier by the number of people who need raw-file access.
Choose a single purchase, credit pack or subscription.
Apply an eligible offer during checkout.
Confirm the purchase after reviewing the asset, licence and final total.
The asset is delivered digitally through the Pond5 account. After purchase, confirm that the required file version downloads and retain the order and licence confirmation. If the file is technically defective or cannot be downloaded, do not substitute an unrelated similar asset: record the error and original asset identifier for support.
Refund conditions depend on the purchase type. For a subscription, request timing and use of downloads matter because downloading from the current term can remove refund eligibility. Disabling renewal does not end the already paid term immediately. For a defective file, retain the asset identifier and error details so support can assess a replacement download or refund.
Royalty-free describes the licensing model; it does not transfer copyright. A raw file must not be resold or distributed separately from an original production. An individual item can carry restrictions concerning editorial use, user seats, a single project, merchandise, templates, sensitive uses, releases or public performance of music.
For support, provide the order number, asset identifier, item-page link, selected licence tier and a screenshot of the error. For a usage question, describe the project, distribution channel, team size and any Editorial Only or PRO label because the applicable restrictions cannot be assessed accurately without that context.
A useful check starts on the item page. For video, inspect resolution, frame rate, duration and format; for music, duration, track version and any PRO label; for images and templates, dimensions, format and compatibility. Also inspect releases and any Editorial Only designation.
Pond5 suits editors, designers, creators, production companies and marketing teams that need ready-made media for an original project. If several people will download or edit the raw file, choose a licence tier with the appropriate number of users before purchase.

No. The buyer receives a licence for permitted uses, but copyright does not transfer. The raw asset must be incorporated into an original production and cannot be sold or distributed as a standalone file.
Usually not. The label means the asset is not cleared for advertising, promotion, merchandise or other commercial use. Choose an appropriately cleared file for a commercial project or separately obtain the required permissions.
Consider the number of people who need raw-file access rather than company size alone. Individual is for one user, Business covers a limited team and Premium supports broader access; verify the current rights of the selected tier before purchase.
No. Credit packs and subscription download allowances are separate purchasing methods and cannot be combined to license one asset. Compare them in advance by asset type and expected download frequency.
The asset licence does not waive possible performing-rights royalties or cue-sheet obligations for public performance. Before release, check the requirements of the platform, broadcaster and intended territory.
The subscription remains active through the paid term. Unused or rolled-over downloads can be lost, and use of current-term downloads can affect a refund, so inspect the plan status before confirming cancellation.
